All the way back in 1968, Fender released the Telecaster Thinline — an ultra-lightweight, semi-hollowbody variation on the company’s very first solidbody guitar. About a half-century down the line, the Fender Custom Shop’s ’68 Telecaster Thinline Journeyman Relic represents a modernized reimagining of this Tele’s semi-hollowbody ancestor. It all starts with a hollowed-out ash body, providing you with enhanced resonance and an airier feel than your typical slab Tele.
